• To process subscription payments securely via Cashfree
• To respond to support tickets
• To comply with legal obligations under Indian law

We share your data only with:

• Cashfree Payments: Name, email, phone, order details — for processing subscription payments. Cashfree has its own Privacy Policy.
• Voucher Partners (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.): Name, email — only when processing an approved redemption request.
• Legal Authorities: When required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any other third parties.

4. Payment Data

All payment processing is handled by Cashfree Payments, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. Maanya HR and IT Services does not store your card numbers, bank account numbers, UPI IDs, or any sensitive financial credentials.

We store only: Order ID, Plan purchased, Amount, Payment status, and Transaction timestamp — for internal records and support purposes.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

• Session cookies: To keep you logged in during your exam session.
• Analytics: Google Analytics (anonymised) to understand platform usage patterns.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect platform functionality including the ability to log in and attempt exams.

6. Data Retention

• Active accounts: Data retained for the duration of account activity.
• Deleted accounts: Personal data is deleted within 30 days of account deletion request, except where retention is required by law.
• Exam records: Anonymised exam performance data may be retained for platform improvement purposes.
• Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required by Indian accounting and tax regulations.

7. Your Rights

Under applicable Indian data protection laws and guidelines, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Update inaccurate personal data via your Profile page or by contacting us.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data (subject to legal retention requirements).
• Portability: Request your exam performance data in a structured format.
• Objection: Object to processing of your data for non-essential purposes.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@earnxam.in with the subject "Data Rights Request".

8. Data Security

• Passwords are stored using industry-standard bcrypt hashing — never in plain text.
• All Platform communications are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
• Session tokens are HTTP-only cookies to prevent client-side script access.
• We perform regular security reviews of our infrastructure.

Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

9. Children's & Minors' Privacy (DPDP Compliance)

EarnXam is designed for students in Class 10 and above (typically ages 15+). In compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP), users under 18 years ("Minors") must obtain parental/guardian consent to register and use the Platform.

Age & Marketing: We do not market the Platform to children under 13 years old. Our exam content, subject matter, and qualification levels are designed for students ages 15 and above.

Parental Consent Process: When a user registers and indicates they are under 18, or when we identify a Minor (e.g., through educational qualification selection), we will:

1. Request the parent/guardian's email address and phone number.
2. Send a consent form to the parent/guardian requesting documented confirmation.
3. Collect and securely store the signed consent proof in our backend system.
4. Enable full platform access only after consent is verified and recorded.

Tracking & Analytics for Minors: For Minor users, we collect and process data for these purposes only:

• Exam Integrity: Tab-switch detection, submission timestamps, and device data to prevent cheating and ensure fair assessment — a security measure, not behavioral tracking.
• Service Delivery: Functional analytics (page visits, exam scores, coin earnings) to deliver exams and calculate rewards.
• Legal Compliance: Audit logs and transaction records as required by law.

We do not use Minor data for behavioral profiling, targeted advertising, or marketing purposes.

Data Retention: In compliance with DPDP, we retain Minor personal data for a minimum of 1 year from the date of collection, and no longer than necessary for legal compliance and service delivery.

Withdrawal of Consent: Parents/guardians can withdraw consent at any time by contacting privacy@earnxam.in. Upon withdrawal, we will disable the Minor's account and cease further data processing, except where required by law.

If you believe a Minor has registered without proper parental consent, or to withdraw consent, please contact us at privacy@earnxam.in.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via a Platform notification or email at least 7 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
